FAQ

  1. Do I have to join something?
No. All you need to do is join us at a meeting, and you'll be a part of Mommy Meeting and receive any and all benefits available to the group such as conferences, newsletter information, and vendor events. We do have a membership card available for moms that come frequently that entitles them to extra benefits, but participation is voluntary.
  2. What should I bring with me to meetings?
You should bring plenty of business cards and brochures/flyers. We have a table at the meeting where you can place these items for other moms to pick up. You should bring socks for your kids, as Bumble Bounce's House of Bounce requires socks for all bouncers. You should bring your appointment book so that you can schedule personal meetings with some of the moms you meet at Mommy Meeting.

  3. How much does it cost?
Our meetings are $10 per mommy. That covers your networking fee and any follow up. Kids always bounce for free. You are welcome to bring food for yourself and your kids and eat in the meeting area. Tables are available to showcase your business at the meetings for $30, which includes your meeting fee. Featured businesses get to introduce themselves for up to 5 minutes at the meeting.
  4. Can I showcase my business at Mommy Meeting?
Absolutely! We have three spaces for vendors to showcase their business at each regular meeting. We are also planning vendor events that will be open to the public where you will be able to show what you do. We have a large vendor event each October. If you are interested in taking part, please contact us through the website and we will add your name to the list.

  5. How do I become a speaker?
We love speakers! We ask that you contact us and provide your contact information along with a synopsis of your talk so that we can determine where your topic best fits in our schedule. We do prefer that our speakers also be mommies, but we will consider speakers who are not mommies.
  6. What happens at the meetings?
The first order of business is getting the kids settled in the bounce house. We have open networking in the bounce area until 5:45. Then we shift the mommies to the meeting room where we have each of our vendors speak about their business. We have our main speaker talk for about 20 minutes, and then we open for networking. We rotate our speakers so we have both business topics and mommy topics. Please check the schedule to find out the topic for upcoming meetings. You will also receive a listing of everyone who attended so you can follow up after the meeting.
  7. How do I pay for meetings?
We prefer you bring a check or cash with you to the meeting. In the near future, we'll be implementing a system to pay online in advance. We do ask that vendors pre-pay for their table to ensure we fill all the spots.
  8. I don't have kids, can I come?
Mommy Meeting was conceived to serve the mommy and business owner. Our meetings are designed to meet the needs of moms who want to network but have difficulty finding child-friendly events. While we do love to meet new people and love to network, we do ask that only mommies attend our events.
  9. What ages of kids can attend?
For everyone's enjoyment, we try to limit the ages of our bouncing kids to eight and under. This helps us keep the environment safe for the smaller children. We find that children younger than age 2 might have a difficult time separating from their mommies to go and bounce, so they may prefer to stay in the meeting room with the mommies.
  10. Do I need to RSVP?
We prefer to have everyone RSVP so that we can get an accurate count of the number of attendees to pass on to our partner at Bumble Bounce's House of Bounce. That way we have enough supervisors on the floor for the kids.
  11. Why do you ask for my and my child's birth month?
We like to recognize our birthdays at our monthly meeting. As moms, we know how much it means to have someone recognize your achievement. We like to celebrate birthdays as a way to make each and every mom and child feel special.
