What is the best part about being a mom for you?:
I love watching my kids get excited over everything - big or small and how much energy and enthusiasm they have! Hearing them laugh is one of my favorite things. - Why did you decide to start a business?
I was raised in the real estate business. My Dad is and has been a Realtor in Lawrence, KS for over 40 years. I worked for Prudential California Realty while I lived in San Diego in the 90's and worked mainly for the Relocation Department. Being a Realtor is a perfect job for me because my kids can go with me to preview homes, set up listings, etc. and it is a job that allows me to be flexible and work a lot of weekends and evenings when my husband is home. - What do you love the most about your business?
Helping people with the chapter in their lives that involves a new home, sale of a home or relocation to a new state. I also give back to the community with every transaction by donating $200 out of each of my commission checks to an organization or charity of my clients' choice. It makes me feel good to give back and the donation goes in my clients name so they get acknowledged for helping their community as well. - How do you juggle family and business?
Family comes first. I am able to set hours and times that work best for me and my family. The majority of my clients have families of their own and respect my hours and work with me around them. - What does the ideal customer look like for you?
Anyone looking to buy or sell a home or anyone who might be relocating to another state. Prudential Colorado has an amazing Relocation Department! I love introducing people to their new homes and helping with that particular chapter in their lives. My business is built on referrals from happy clients so I pride myself in being the best that I can be and helping in every aspect of the transaction. It can be a stressful time and I try to ease as much of the stress as I can!
